Clips: Features

Most journalists will tell you that meeting characters is one of the job’s many benefits. Here are a few I came across. The column samples are from my stint as Life Editor at the Poughkeepsie Journal, when I had much more hair.

To crash victim, city officer was an angel: Poughkeepsie Journal, 1986. A woman trapped beneath a car. Gas leaking all around. And an officer who just happened to wander by.
